A & W Realty, Inc. was established in 1986 as one of the largest independently owned and operated African American real estate firms in the Metropolitan Atlanta area. This year A & W Realty, Inc. celebrates their 20th Anniversary. Her company has developed, built and marketed hundreds of new homes in the metro area. The Company with 23+ Realtors/ Realtists has sold homes including re-sales, new homes, land and commercial property priced from the affordable to the millions. One of the many developments includes Deans Village at Summerhill, built on the very ground where many of our African American forefathers/ mothers lived and received their education (E.P. Johnson Elementary School). Additional developments include McCoy Place, Wynn’s Way @ Kings Lake/Cascade, The Hilliard’s On Main mixed use residential and commercial development. The most recent development was Kids R Kids school of Quality Learning at Cascade. A second school is to be completed in Union City by the end of December 2007.
She has received numerous awards, among these are the following: 2000 Atlanta Business League Woman of the Year, 2004 & 2005 Who’s Who in Black Atlanta, Pinnacle Leadership Award 2004, and one of the 100 Most Influential Women in Atlanta by the Atlanta Business League and Women Looking Ahead Magazine. Andrea is actively involved in The Empire Board of Realtists, Atlanta Board of Realtors and numerous organizations, including Co-Founder and first chairperson of the East Point Business Association; a founding member & current Board member of the East Point Main Street Board; Pathway Christian School Board and South Fulton Medical Center (Tenet) Advisory Board, Co-Chair Red Cross Minority Advisory Board, Past Board Member Atlanta Business League, Fulton County Office of Workforce Development Board, and Past Chair of the Partnership For Tomorrow Board.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Medical College of Georgia after completing Grady School of Nursing. She worked with Dr Juel Pate Borders, OBGYN, as a nurse practitioner for over 18 years and served as a National Nurse consultant for Job Corps for 24 years. Andrea has been a licensed Real Estate Broker since 1986.
Andrea is married to William H. Wynn and enjoys working with him and her daughters, Kim Wynn-Lewis and Keisha Wynn-Harrison, who are both intricately involved in the companies. Most recently because of their Love for making a difference the Wynn’s built and opened the 1St Kids R Kids School of Quality Learning inside Atlanta at Cascade & Utoy Springs. The 2nd location will open winter 2007 in Union City. The ultimate goal is to impart knowledge, wisdom, and self directed growth with a healthy dose of caring and respect for each other and our future leaders.
