Bonnie Askew is Owner of A & A Tax Service, a small business that offers affordable and complete tax assistance that includes electronic filing, small business expertise, fast refunds, all-states and prior year tax preparation. Located in the Main Street corridor of downtown East Point, A & A Tax Service reaches out to the community by providing dependable and professional year-round tax preparation service. Bonnie founded the business in 1999 with an initial clientele of 65 customers. Her client base has more than tripled to 300 and continues to grow primarily by client referrals.
Bonnie retired from Internal Revenue Service in 1999 after 32 years of exemplary employment. When she departed, she was Branch Manager over all Walk-in offices throughout Georgia.
Bonnie was on the Charter Review Board Commission that re-wrote the new Charter for the city of East Point. She is also a board members and Membership Chair of the East Point Business Association. She is an alumnus of Morris Brown College and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
Bonnie is the wife of Griffin Askew and the proud mother and grandmother of four children and nine grandsons. She attends Ben Hill UMC where she is a founding member and President of the Majestic Choir. She is President of her neighborhood association in East Point and has been a volunteer for Meals on Wheels since her retirement form IRS.
